About The Position

This position is a member of Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station’s Workforce Development team and is assigned to the Texas A&M Engineering Conferences and Events team. This position is responsible for the planning, implementing and executing special events, programs and presentations for the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station and the College of Engineering, in addition to maintaining the events management system and supporting departmental and center related events as necessary. Position will require attendance at weekend and evening events.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related event experience.

Nice To Haves

Administrative experience.
Experience with planning, implementing and executing events.
Event management software experience helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement and execute special events, programs and conferences for the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station and the College of Engineering, supervise, direct and coordinate event personnel and vendors, and provide post-event analysis, budget summaries and participation feedback.
Support and work within events management system
Support college, departmental, and center events and conferences, as necessary
Supervise student support staff
Spearhead major projects, improvement and implementation of new College-wide event policies and procedures
Manage Departmental Event Liaison (DEL) education and communication
This position requires direct engagement with minors and youth during program activities. The employee is expected to fully adhere to all university policies and state regulations pertaining to the safety and protection of minors.
