About The Position

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is seeking a self-starter with an interest in coordinating events and a desire for career growth. The Office of Culture and Engagement (OCE) aims to provide opportunities through learning, connections, and policy to support the WSP's mission of making a difference every day through inclusion, community relationships, and valuing each employee. Requirements

• Experience engaging in community work, volunteer or paid, with diverse communities.
• One year of professional or volunteer experience in community organizing, engagement, and events.
• Extensive travel required within district and occasional travel outside of district (with agency provided vehicle).

Responsibilities

• Initiate, build, and maintain relationships with diverse communities, listening to their needs and concerns, especially as they correspond to the communities within the liaison’s specified district.
• Enhance trust, increase awareness about WSP procedures, assist in crime prevention, and provide localized solutions.
