About The Position

Under the supervision of the Clinic RN Manager, this role manages the flow of the clinic, leading all staff in the provision of medical and nursing care and ensuring high quality standards. The Program Registered Nurse coordinates services with primary care Providers and acts as the primary liaison. Responsibilities include triaging and assessing participants as needed, providing skilled nursing care, implementing orders, developing appropriate plans of care, and offering teaching to participants, caregivers, family, and staff. The RN also communicates participants’ conditions to caregivers, primary care, and the interdisciplinary team. In the absence of the Clinic RN Manager, this position assumes their responsibilities, including oversight of LPNs, Clinical Assistants, and Clinic Clerks. The role may require providing position support at another Inspira LIFE Center due to operational needs. As Inspira LIFE is a multisite provider of PACE community-based services for seniors in Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties, an employee may work at either the Vineland or Williamstown LIFE Program as census changes or operational needs occur to meet participant needs.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing, BSN required
  • Minimum of 1 year working with the frail or elderly
  • 2 years of Nursing Experience
  • RN License – New Jersey
  • NJ State Choice Assessment Certification to complete level of care assessments (training will be provided by Inspira LIFE within the first 12 months of employment)
  • BCLS required
  • Valid Driver’s license, proof of insurance and have a reliable means of transportation as described in Fleet Policy # TR 118
  • Broad knowledge base of health care problems of the frail elderly
  • Skilled in physical assessment and triaging
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment
  • Skilled in preparing and maintaining records and writing reports and responding to correspondence
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining department quality assurance
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with participants, medical staff, staff members and family caregivers
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
