Protiviti is looking for a Technology Manager to join our growing Project & Program Management team. As a Manager, you’ll partner with our clients to manage complex business and technology projects and transformations and problems and provide impactful advice and solutions. You’ll develop lasting relationships with client personnel and further these relationships through quality product delivery. You’ll foster a network within the business community and serve as an ambassador of Protiviti in the market. You will also be a mentor, trainer, and coach to Consultants and Senior Consultants as you facilitate the successful completion of project work plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., MIS, CIS).
  • 5+ years working in professional services and large scale business and technology project and program management roles.
  • Proficiency in project and program management tooling.
  • Proficiency with multiple project and work management delivery methodologies (waterfall, agile, hybrid, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience with Transformation Office Enablement.
  • Demonstrated experience with Technology Program Delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience with Program Management as a Service (PMaaS).
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile Enablement & Delivery.
  • Previous experience in organizational planning and execution of strategic IT technology initiatives (e.g., Program Office Strategy & Operating Model, Program Governance, Agile/Scaled Agile Transformation, PPM Automation, Investment & Portfolio Optimization).
  • Previous experience in Digital & Application Program Management (e.g., Digital Program Strategy & Roadmap, Custom Solutions, ERP & Enterprise Applications, Industry-Specific Solutions, Program Risk Management, Agile-enabled Business/Enterprise Transformation).
  • Previous experience in Program Management as a Service / Managed PM Services (e.g., engagement management, measurement/oversight of managed output and managed capacity engagements, program support for waterfall/agile, Infrastructure/cloud/core modernization program management, global program support and "right-shoring").
  • Working knowledge of three-tier architecture (Presentation Layer, Application Layer, Data Layer) and its impact on information and security management.
  • Working knowledge of network and infrastructure.
  • Experience with various database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, Access).
  • Basic knowledge of one or more development languages and SQL.
  • Experience with domain management strategies, network segmentation, firewalls and middleware tools.
  • Working knowledge of development and operations (including DevOps), process design and tools/software.
  • Experience with cloud technologies including platforms, infrastructure, software, etc., as a service.
  • Experience working on enterprise transformation initiatives (i.e. platform modernization and digital).
  • Experience evaluating, summarizing, organizing, and interpreting data.
  • Experience establishing and cultivating business relationships and a professional network, including with senior executives.
  • Ability to translate and communicate issues or challenges to client personnel, including executives.
  • Leadership and direct supervisory experience of teams including conducting performance appraisals, mentoring and coaching, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understanding how to motivate.
  • Enjoy Program and Project Management.
  • Motivated to learn and interested in all things related to Technology Transformations including the latest trends and developments.
  • Passionate about building relationships with clients and providing exceptional experiences.
  • Inherent interest in project management and team leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Certification such as PMP, Agile Scrum/Product Owner, SAFe or similar strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients to manage complex business and technology projects and transformations, providing impactful advice and solutions.

  • Mentor, train, and coach Consultants and Senior Consultants to facilitate the successful completion of project work plans.

  • Create development opportunities for others, including participating in the creation and rollout of training, and ways for your team to improve our clients and communities.
  • Participate in the preparation of client proposals and strategies to win new business.

  • Lead Transformation Office Enablement, Technology Program Delivery, Program Management as a Service (PMaaS), and Agile Enablement & Delivery.
  • Perform organizational planning and execution of strategic IT technology initiatives in service areas including Program Office Transformation, Digital & Application Program Management, and Program Management as a Service / Managed PM Services.
  • Evaluate, summarize, organize, and interpret data.
