About The Position

KBR is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program / Project Management Specialist to provide direct support to a Government Program Office located at Peterson Space Force Base. The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between Government leadership, cross-functional directorates, and contractor teams, ensuring effective execution of mission priorities and strategic initiatives. This position requires exceptional communication, coordination, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to engage with senior Government officials, General Officers, and executive-level stakeholders. The Program / Project Management Specialist will initiate project scoping discussions, coordinate activities across multiple organizations, track taskings and deliverables, and assist in the alignment of resources against evolving mission requirements. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, excels at stakeholder engagement, and can successfully manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong customer relationships and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management, program management, or related administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project scope, schedules, deliverables, action items, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience supporting Government customers, Program Management Offices (PMOs), or military organizations.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior Government personnel, executive leadership, and General Officers.
  • An active TS/SCI security clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Air Force or U.S. Space Force organizations.
  • Experience working within headquarters-level staff organizations or executive support environments.
  • Familiarity with Task Management Tool (TMT) processes and tasking workflows.
  • Experience coordinating efforts across geographically dispersed teams and multiple stakeholder organizations.
  • Knowledge of DoD planning, resource management, and organizational processes.
  • Experience supporting strategic initiatives, executive action groups, or senior leadership decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Government leadership, Program Management Offices (PMOs), General Officers, senior executives, and mission partners.
  • Initiate communication across multiple directorates and collaborate with Team Leads to ensure alignment of priorities, requirements, resources, and deliverables.
  • Assist Government leadership and Team Leads to identify, evaluate, prioritize, and assign projects in support of organizational objectives.
  • Assist with tracking project progress, milestones, deliverables, action items, and dependencies for senior leader situational awareness
  • Work complex problem sets from initial identification to potential solution paths
  • Coordinate and collaborate with functional Team Leads as needed
  • Prepare and present executive briefings, status reports, dashboards, meeting materials, and decision support documentation.
  • Assist Team Leads in monitoring project risks, issues, and obstacles; identify mitigation strategies and elevate concerns when appropriate.
  • Initiate recurring meetings, working groups, and strategic planning sessions involving Government and contractor personnel.
  • Support enterprise-level initiatives, process improvement efforts, and organizational planning activities.
  • Recommend guidance and strategy for both short and long-term team success
  • Communicate and integrate across the headquarters and subordinate units to execute workflow and resource analysis
  • Manage and maintain action item trackers in support of Government leadership and program objectives.
  • Attend relevant senior leader engagements and be able to identify innovative and more efficient solutions
  • Prepare, review, edit, and distribute correspondence, reports, briefing materials, executive summaries, and decision support documentation.
  • Monitor and manage organizational taskings to ensure timely responses and completion of assigned actions.
  • Maintain program databases, trackers, dashboards, and metrics used to monitor project and organizational performance.
  • Support the development, coordination, staffing, routing, and approval of official Government documents, memorandums, briefings, and reports.
  • Coordinate and track information requests, data calls, staff packages, and leadership-directed actions across multiple organizations.
  • Assist with meeting preparation for senior leadership engagements, strategic planning sessions, working groups, and executive briefings.
  • Ensure program documentation is current, organized, and maintained in accordance with applicable records management policies and procedures.
  • Support travel coordination, visit planning, conference preparation, and stakeholder engagement activities as required.
  • Maintain situational awareness of organizational priorities, leadership taskings, and emerging requirements to support effective program execution.
  • Initiate communication between Government personnel, contractor staff, and external mission partners to ensure timely information flow and action resolution.
  • Generate recurring status reports, executive summaries, meeting read-aheads, and performance metrics for Government leadership review.
