About The Position

The Program Production Supervisor – Unusual Machines Program is responsible for supervising daily production activities and personnel supporting the Unusual Machines Program. This position ensures production work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established schedules, quality standards, work instructions, and program requirements. The Production Supervisor coordinates closely with the Director Factory Operation, Quality, Supply Chain, and other functional teams to address production issues, manage priorities, maintain workflow, and ensure program deliverables remain on schedule.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting complex or low-volume/high-mix manufacturing programs.
  • Experience with aerospace, defense, simulation, robotics, technology, or other technical manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP or manufacturing management systems.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience supervising production teams.
  • Familiarity with inventory control, kitting, assembly, integration, and testing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities supporting the Unusual Machines Program.
  • Assign work, establish priorities, and monitor employee productivity and production progress.
  • Ensure personnel have the required materials, tools, equipment, documentation, and work instructions to complete assigned tasks.
  • Monitor production schedules and communicate potential delays, resource constraints, and other issues to the Director Factory Operations.
  • Coordinate kitting, material staging, assembly and other production activities as applicable.
  • Verify that production personnel follow approved procedures, work instructions, quality requirements, and safety practices.
  • Monitor work-in-process and ensure completed work moves through the production process efficiently.
  • Coordinate with the inventory personnel regarding material shortages, inventory discrepancies, and material availability.
  • Work with Quality personnel to address inspections, nonconformances, rework, and corrective actions.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and report findings to Director Factory Operations.
  • Monitor employee attendance, timekeeping, productivity, and adherence to assigned work schedules.
  • Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and feedback to production employees.
  • Assist management with employee training, onboarding, cross-training, and development.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, materials, and production areas are properly maintained and organized.
  • Track and communicate production metrics, status, issues, and accomplishments.
  • Participate in daily production meetings, program meetings, and other operational meetings as required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve productivity, quality, cost, and schedule performance.
  • Escalate significant production, personnel, quality, safety, or schedule concerns to the Director Factory Operation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable customer or contractual requirements.
