About The Position

Patient and Family Centred Care Specialists are responsible for performing various key functions within the Patient Safety and Experience portfolio. The Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC) Specialist works closely with the Manager in providing guidance on PFCC and patient engagement activities that align with the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and Saskatchewan Centre for Patient-Oriented Research (SCPOR) strategic initiatives and continuous improvement activities. The Specialist works closely with leaders, all departments and operation leads and managers to plan, develop and implement successful PFCC strategies including patient engagement throughout the SHA and SCPOR that aligns with the provincial priority of Patients First and recognizing patients as partners in all areas of the organization from front line care teams to Governance and Leadership teams. Requirements

  • Five (5) years leadership experience
  • 3-5 years' experience working in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in a healthcare or management related discipline
  • Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities
