About The Position

This position reports to the Internal Production Planning Supervisor and is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties. The Planning & Program Specialist is responsible for converting customer NC (hole pattern) data for programming manufacturing machines and verification drawings. This role involves comparing information between PEP or other systems and printed documents for verification, and performing reverse engineering of legacy fixtures in AutoCAD as needed.

Requirements

Skilled in the use of computers
Experience using CAD/CAM Software
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
Excellent organizational and analytical skills, including problem solving understanding of technical issues
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to translate technical information into detailed drawings
Ability to work independently and multi-task
Highly dependable, motivated, and self-driven
Ability to gain detailed product and process knowledge
Ability to gain knowledge of company products
Comply with quality, environmental, safety and JOST company policies and procedures

Responsibilities

Conversion of customer NC data for machine programs (FICEP/Plasma, etc.)
Provide technical assistance to others and other departments as needed
Reverse Engineering of legacy production fixtures as needed/assigned
Produce accurate work that meets industry drafting standards in a timely manner
Create part models in CAM software from technical drawings and data for machine programs
Nesting of product to machines for batches to produce
Communicates with internal customers
Processes shop orders inside ERP system
Work to maintain high level of associate morale and recognition
Assists in the enforcement of the 5S and LEAN housekeeping initiatives
