About The Position

The Program Performance & Planning Coordinator supports the Program Manager in the planning, financial monitoring, reporting, evaluation, and continuous improvement of assigned programs. This position performs budget and program analysis, prepares accurate reports for funding sources, develops tools to monitor program performance, and assists with identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency. The Coordinator works closely with the Program Manager, fiscal staff, program personnel, and other departments to ensure accurate data, timely reporting, and compliance with organizational and funding requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience in program quality improvement
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft; Strong proficiency in Excel is required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to make presentations and/or educate groups of people on available services
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationship with individuals and co-workers at all levels
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, a safe driving record, and be eligible for insurance coverage in the operation of Agency vehicles.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and physical examination.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in budget development and analysis and program quality improvement in a nonprofit, grant funded, or community-based setting.
  • Masters degree in one of the fields as required
  • Ability to develop and maintain spreadsheet, formulas, financial worksheets, data analysis tools, charts, and reports.
  • Budgeting, financial analysis, expense monitoring, projections, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Manager with the development, monitoring, and analysis of program budgets, expenditures, revenues, projections, and budget variances.
  • Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets, dashboards, and other analytical tools to monitor budgets, program performance, service levels, and operational trends.
  • Assist with preparation and submission of accurate and timely programmatic reports to funding sources using required reporting systems and software.
  • Assist with budget amendments, financial projections, cost analysis, and supporting documentation as needed.
  • Work with Program Manager(s) and program staff to evaluate workflows, identify operational inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist with programmatic, operational, development, and financial analysis of the Senior Nutrition Program and other assigned programs.
  • Coordinate with departments to collect and maintain data related to organizational standards, performance measures, strategic goals, and other agency-wide initiatives.
  • Develop professional reports, charts, presentations, infographics, and other materials for program recruitment, community education, funding applications, management presentations, and stakeholder communication.
  • Protect confidential financial, participant, employee, and organizational information.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
