Program Operations Manager

Choice Digital CorpBroomfield, CO
$90,000 - $105,000

About The Position

The Program Operations Manager will primarily own the operational setup and execution of new client programs, ensuring programs are configured correctly, thoroughly tested, and delivered against committed client timelines. This role serves as a central point of coordination across Account Management, Product, Engineering, Payment Operations, and other stakeholders to translate client requirements into program configurations, manage implementation priorities, surface dependencies and risks, and keep programs progressing toward successful launches. This is a hands-on role where the individual will become an expert in Choice Digital’s products and programs, participate directly in program setup and QA, troubleshoot issues, and confidently join client conversations when implementation or technical expertise is needed. As part of the broader Payment Operations organization, the manager will also support other operational priorities as needed, contributing to a team where individuals develop primary ownership while remaining flexible enough to collaborate across functions and solve operational challenges associated with scaling a payments platform.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in program operations, software implementation, technical implementation, project/program management, FinTech, or a related field.
  • Experience managing client implementations or complex cross-functional projects from requirements through launch.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent implementations with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to establish timelines, identify dependencies, manage risks, and drive accountability across teams.
  • Comfortable becoming a subject-matter expert on a technical product and translating between client requirements and internal technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in digging into data and systems to understand how and why something works.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills and the ability to confidently participate in implementation and technical conversations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growing organization where processes are still being built, responsibilities may span multiple areas of Payment Operations, and priorities can evolve quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with software QA, testing, release validation, program configuration, or other hands-on technical operations strongly preferred.
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience using SQL, scripting, APIs, data tools, or other lightweight technical/coding capabilities to investigate issues, validate data, automate repetitive work, or improve operational processes.
  • Experience in payments, FinTech, banking, financial services, SaaS, or another highly operational technology environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary owner of new client program setup within the Choice Digital platform, translating client and product requirements into accurate configurations, completing hands-on setup work, and ensuring programs are prepared for testing and launch.
  • Own and coordinate QA for new program configurations and changes to existing programs, developing and executing testing processes to validate program functionality, payment experiences, communications, and configurations meet requirements prior to launch.
  • Manage client implementations from setup through go-live, maintaining clear timelines, milestones, dependencies, and ownership across internal teams, and driving execution against committed client launch dates while proactively identifying risks.
  • Coordinate final launch readiness across internal teams, ensuring required configuration, testing, approvals, documentation, and operational dependencies are complete before a program goes live.
  • Own the prioritization of the implementation pipeline based on client commitments, business priorities, resource availability, and technical dependencies, providing stakeholders with clear visibility into current priorities, upcoming work, and potential constraints.
  • Proactively identify implementation risks, blockers, and dependencies and drive them toward resolution, troubleshooting configuration and operational issues, identifying root causes, and escalating appropriately when issues threaten client commitments or go-live dates.
  • Help build the operating foundation of the Payment Operations organization by developing implementation playbooks, QA procedures, setup documentation, checklists, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify recurring implementation challenges, manual processes, and operational gaps, and work with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to improve tools and processes, looking for opportunities to use data, SQL, scripting, or lightweight automation to make operational work more efficient and scalable.
  • Lead weekly implementation meetings with cross-functional stakeholders, maintaining visibility into program status, upcoming launches, dependencies, risks, and action items, and driving accountability for deliverables.
  • Participate in client meetings when operational or technical implementation expertise is needed, helping clients navigate program requirements, configuration decisions, testing, technical dependencies, and go-live readiness.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to validate new features and releases before they are introduced into production programs, identifying potential operational or client impacts and ensuring new capabilities function as expected.
  • Contribute to broader Payment Operations priorities as needed, including operational troubleshooting, program changes, data validation, process improvements, and other activities required to successfully operate and scale Choice Digital’s payment programs.
