About The Position

The Matching Grant Program Officer will report to the Associate Director for Community Integration and will work as part of the Matching Grant program team. The Program Officer will support the management of a major federal grant by assisting with reporting and project analysis associated with the Matching Grant program and providing training and technical assistance to 40 local offices participating in the Matching Grant program.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree with three to five years’ relevant experience with domestic refugee resettlement programs
  • Strong writing and computer skills are essential along with a background in grant management and training
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong writing and demonstrated intercultural communication capability
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel and database programs
  • Highly adaptable and flexible with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a demanding work environment
  • Must have the flexibility to travel domestically
  • Dedication to the rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers, and displaced persons
  • Demonstrated support of USCRI’s values by exhibiting respect for others, maintenance of confidential information and an appreciation of a multicultural workplace

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience providing case management and employment services domestically or relief services overseas is highly desirable
  • Detailed oriented and experience working with tracing and verifying data preferred
  • Positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team and also work independently is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Provide national oversight of program activities
  • Provide training and technical assistance on the subject matter to a national network of providers
  • Ensure outcomes and compliance with federal guidelines through monitoring and evaluation activities
  • Collect data, write reports, provide support to the Associate Director in proposal continuation applications
  • Provide strong support and guidance on subject matter to network
  • Other duties as assigned
