About The Position

CRJ’s Reentry Services Division supports people leaving incarceration in making positive, sustainable life transitions through contemporary, evidence-based services. The Program Monitor helps maintain a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for residents in group homes. This flex-schedule position is 8 hours per week and pays a starting rate of $18 per hour, or $20 per hour with shift differential.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and compassionate in challenging situations.
Prior experience with electronic documentation and report writing.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field.
Prior experience in security.
Prior experience working in residential or behavioral health settings.

Responsibilities

Perform general reception duties, including signing residents in and out, answering calls, greeting and signing in visitors, telephone spot checks, and sorting and distributing mail.
Conduct scheduled house rounds and life-safety checks, nightly bed checks, and bag, pat, and room searches; monitor residents’ daily details.
Collect urine samples according to schedule and complete documentation; administer alco-sensor tests.
Serve as a prosocial role model, support residents’ behavior change, communicate information, and respond to residents’ concerns, needs, and complaints.
Enter appropriate documentation in SecureManage.
Attend required training and staff meetings.
Perform other job-related projects and activities as requested or directed.
