About The Position

The Program Manager - Warranty will play a critical role in managing, monitoring, and setting standards and direction for the warranty program for the Airo Program. Individuals in this role will accomplish project objectives by planning, evaluating, and managing execution of warranty activities with limited supervision. The role requires regular analytical reporting of warranty status, risks, issues, cost, and schedule performance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
7 years of prior experience required

9+ years of relevant experience preferred
Current PMP certification
Strong process improvement skills
Familiarity with quality management systems
Experience working in Tableau.
Experience with enterprise asset management software, preferably Maximo

Responsibilities

Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of warranty tasks.
Review warranty incidents and On-Time Performance data within Amtrak’s systems.
Build reports detailing warranty and failure data and validate vendor reports against contractual requirements for both the trainset acquisition and Technical Support, Spares, and Supply Agreement (TSSSA).
Act as the lead contact for the warranty program for the Airo Trainset project, creating and executing work plans, tracking open action items, assigning duties and tasks to team members, reviewing, and monitoring warranty activity progress for trains running in the Pacific Northwest and Northeast Corridor on a regular basis, and leading regular status meetings with vendors and teams.
Understand, track, and drive material required for warranty repairs. Work with material suppliers as necessary to adjust safety stock at maintenance depots.
Identify and document warranty issues and risks and monitor progress of mitigation actions.
Successfully establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external resources and key project stakeholders involved in warranty tasks, including maintenance personnel, third parties/vendors, contract management teams, and leadership teams.
Understand contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), associated penalties and incentives, and track failures against contractual requirements for both the trainset acquisition and TSSSA.
Ensures compliance via reviews and assessments with Amtrak project management standards and policies, third-party requirements, industry best practices, or project-specific requirements in the project delivery function, reports on results of reviews and assessments to various levels of management.
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, trends, and best practices, present recommended improvement opportunities to various levels of management.
