About The Position

The Advanced Compact EW Solutions (ACES) organization in Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solution (CEMA) business area is seeking a motivated Program Manager I to join our team to support a growing portfolio. This role is ideal for a person with program execution experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to develop robust program management and leadership skills. In this role, you will provide program management oversight assuring the assigned projects meets financials, schedule, and technical objectives, and achieves the highest level of customer satisfaction. You will develop program/project plans specifying goals, staffing needs, schedule milestones, risks and contingency plans. You will direct program activities to meet work objectives and serve as a liaison with customers to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems. You will identify and mitigate risks and document program progress including implementation, timelines, issues, risks, quality and successes measures to meet contractual requirements. You will communicate with all levels of BAE Systems senior management regarding program performance status (cost / schedule / resources / risk) as well as performance to annual financial objectives. You will manage program scope and cost estimating, including estimate to complete/estimate at completion (ETC/EAC) processes. This position has a need for consistent, in-person collaboration and many job requirements must be done onsite due to the nature of this particular role, therefore full-time on-site work is preferred although occasional hybrid work is possible. This means the majority of work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility.

Requirements

  • US Citizen with Secret clearance and ability to achieve SAP/SAR
  • Bachelors degree in a technical or business related discipline
  • 8+ years Defense industry experience
  • Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across functional teams
  • A desire to learn and an aptitude for working in a fast paced, highly technical environment
  • Project management or program office experience or experience leading a team
  • Experience interfacing with customers
  • Experience on development and production programs
  • Risk and opportunity management experience
  • CAM and EVM experience
  • Proposal experience
