About The Position

Alpha Omega is looking for a focused, driven Program Manager (PM) who will have overall delivery responsibility for the tasks and activities to include Contractor team performance and issue resolution. The PM will factor in all inputs to derive a recommended approach based on factors including prioritization and subject matter expertise, technical and business information, risk management, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of twelve (12) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment leading major systems support and integration efforts across a mixed platform
  • Minimum of 5 or more years of relevant experience working in Federal Government
  • Strong and effective verbal and communications skills
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills
  • Shall have, at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering, or other comparable degree or experience
  • An active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) or PMI Program Management Professional (PgMP®) Certification
  • ITIL v3 or higher

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and understanding of U.S. Department of State (DOS) IT environments, processes, and agile development methodologies as well as working within the DOS Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC)
  • Scrum Alliance CSM or CSP certification or PMI’s Agile Certified Professional (ACP)
  • Agile or Professional Coaching certification

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated Project Management experience in an Agile environment
  • Experience with software requirements tools and tracking
  • Experience working and leading an Agile Program with multiple work streams / components.
  • Experience defining solutions that cross business and technical boundaries.
  • Experience monitoring program execution to identify obstacles and deviations from plan and takes corrective action as needed
  • Experience conducting continuous risk assessment and management including developing measures to reduce risk in program execution
  • Experience with contract management, budgeting, and resource allocation, including management of subcontractor personnel
  • Experience with all aspects of configuration management planning including configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, configuration audits, configuration documentation
  • Manage a team of resources across the various projects on the program.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and customers who are involved with projects on the program
