About The Position

Rebuilding Together Greater Florida (RTGFL) is a growing statewide nonprofit dedicated to repairing homes, revitalizing neighborhoods, and rebuilding lives for low-income homeowners, seniors, veterans, and families in need. They operate across 29 counties in Florida, focusing on home rehabilitation, disaster recovery, and community revitalization. The Central West (Tampa) District serves as a key operational hub and headquarters, making this role significant within the organization's structure. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires a blend of programming and construction knowledge, ensuring efficient project completion while maintaining grant compliance. The ideal candidate will thrive in a structured environment that emphasizes organization, cross-departmental collaboration, and proactive problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience in program management, housing programs, or community development.
  • Demonstrated experience managing grant-funded programs.
  • Working knowledge of residential construction, including scopes of work, permitting & inspections, contractor coordination, and project timelines.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with municipalities or local agencies.
  • Familiarity with grant compliance and reporting.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred).
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the district.
  • Accountability, collaboration, and a deep commitment to mission-driven service.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily district operations and workflow.
  • Supervise, coach, and hold staff accountable.
  • Monitor productivity, attendance, and file progress.
  • Serve as the operational bridge between Programming and Construction.
  • Manage multiple grant-funded programs simultaneously.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, county, and private funder guidelines.
  • Maintain audit-ready client files and supporting documentation.
  • Track funding allocations, expenditure pacing, and milestone deadlines.
  • Review reimbursement packages prior to submission.
  • Partner with finance to support timely invoicing and drawdowns.
  • Identify compliance risks early and implement corrective action.
  • Analyze performance metrics and recommend operational improvements.
  • Review and understand residential scopes of work.
  • Align timelines with construction staff and subcontractors.
  • Ensure grant guidelines align with construction execution.
  • Proactively prevent delays related to permitting, documentation, or approvals.
  • Track milestones and service delivery targets.
  • Monitor spend-down rates to ensure timely utilization of funds.
  • Prepare internal performance reports for leadership.
  • Support external reporting requirements for funders and municipalities.
  • Build relationships with municipalities, partners, and funders.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings.
  • Support outreach strategies to increase intake and visibility.
