About The Position

The Program Manager I provides engaging and inclusive leadership and is responsible for developing, planning and implementing program enhancements as well as ensuring compliance with KVC policies, local licensing bodies and accreditation programs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma is required
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Two or more years in management role or four or more years in direct care experience in a residential and/or psychiatric hospital environment or a combination of management and direct care experience that equals four or more years.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Outlook email

Nice To Haves

  • bachelor’s degree in psychology, Sociology, Social Work/Services, Human Services, Education, Criminal Justice, Criminology or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.

  • Oversees integrity of client care by ensuring their rights are respected and their essential needs are being met (hygiene products, clothing, etc.).
  • Plans and coordinates with other members of leadership to ensure programs have adequate resources to provide care to clients.
  • Ensure the program is adequately staffed through effective recruitment, onboarding and assignment of staff.
  • Evaluates program stability and adjust resources to enhance safety and effectiveness of the program.
  • Responsible for achieving and maintaining proficiency in the utilization of KVC information systems, including but not limited to: My Avatar, Citrix and UltiPro.
  • Responsible for achieving and maintaining proficiency in KVC’s program curriculum including but not limited to TST, PBIS, Resilience curriculum, SCM and Ukeru.
  • Provide ongoing analysis and communication regarding staffing dynamics and proactively address challenges through collaboration with administration and colleagues.
  • Oversee completion of documentation audits and develop strategies to enhance compliance with KVC policy.
  • Accountable to know and enforce the staff handbook as well as KVC Hospitals, Inc. policies and procedures.
  • Manages direct care employees, including oversight of responsibilities, approval of hours worked and PTO, compliance with KVC and accrediting body policies and procedures, fairly executing progressive disciplinary action and performance evaluations.
  • Enforces accountability for mandatory reporting of any allegations of abuse or neglect.
  • Ensures worker’s compensation protocols are followed in coordination with campus leadership and nursing, ensures accidents and injuries are investigated, and provides timely and accurate reporting of incidents to site leadership, Human Resources, and KVC’s workers’ compensation insurance carrier.
  • Ensure programs have the materials and supplies necessary to provide quality care.
  • Participate and lead program wide meetings.
  • Develops, plans and implements program enhancements to strengthen client engagement, experience and outcomes.
  • Ensures program compliance with KVC policies, local licensing bodies and accreditation programs.
  • Successfully manages program operations including the completion of reports, documentation, supply management, staffing and compliance with standards of care.
  • Determines and evaluates staffing needs and patterns, and communicates with coordinating teams to support the recruitment, retention and development of direct care staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Participates as administrator on call as required.
