Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has been providing quality social services for over 125 years, offering numerous programs and services for various age groups, including seniors. The Older Adult Centers focus on promoting an active life for seniors, helping them maintain independence and health through a range of activities and services. These include meals, health screenings, social services, educational workshops, exercise classes, discussion groups, games, art classes, lectures, organized outings, and special events. The Program Manager is responsible for the daily administration and operation of the Older Adult Center, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment, high-quality services, budget adherence, and compliance with all contractual obligations. The role involves building strong relationships with local health providers, NORC, and community organizations to ensure continuity of care and support 'aging in place' strategies. The Program Manager will foster an environment that celebrates and respects the diversity of all ethnic older adult members, ensure quality programs and services, hold staff accountable for client service delivery, manage food services, provide supportive services, and maintain health and safety standards. The position also requires ensuring program and staff compliance with agency and contractual regulations, fiscal accountability, preparing reports for the Director of Field Operations, and representing the program at agency and community meetings.
