About The Position

Our FDA-licensed, state-of-the-art CGMP manufacturing facility for Gene Therapies is located on the Harmans/BWI campus. The campus, featuring two manufacturing facilities is located 5 miles from the Baltimore Washington International (BWI) airport and 13 miles from our Baltimore location. The campus is close to Washington, DC’s I-270 Technology Corridor, top universities, and government agencies. Catalent Pharma Solutions in Harmans, MD is hiring a Program Manager. Program Management (PM) interfaces between the client, operations, and business development to cultivate strong relationships, obtain repeat business, enhance the scope of current projects, or identify new projects with existing clients. The “Patient First” mindset is central to PM and drives the team to guide projects to successful completion with the highest quality and expedience. PM is responsible for coordinating the entire project and ensuring deadlines are met and that the project stays on budget. Team members should be inspirational, creative, and motivational when leading their project team – constantly challenging ways to deliver over and above expectations.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Science or অর্থনীতি required.
  • Knowledge and expertise in project management practices; working knowledge of biological sciences and finance; proficient computer skills required including MS Project
  • 5+ years’ direct experience in leading projects in a contract development or manufacturing environment
  • Professional experience in a related field such as Biotechnology, Pharma preferred
  • Experience in Biologics preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (M.S., M.B.A., PhD) is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Biologics Fermentation, Cell Culture, Purification and Analytics preferred

Responsibilities

  • Delivers on assigned program objectives within agreed upon time, budget, scope, and quality.
  • Applies sound project management practices within assigned projects.
  • Manages cross-functional, multi-site project teams and the overall project scope, budget and schedule including tech transfer.
  • Maintains open, collaborative and solution focused communication with clients and provides periodic updates & progress reports.
  • Monitors progress of assigned programs to ensure on-time milestone and budget completion while ensuring high quality deliverables are provided to the client.
  • Troubleshoot problems with some support.
  • Often seeks and promotes innovative solutions or approaches to problem solving in a highly flexible and interactive manner as scientific data reveals new information or requirements evolve or change.
  • Works collaboratively with other program managers and acts as a program management resource for all employees.
  • Contributes to strengthening the capabilities of Program Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive programs and overcome obstacles with limited support.
  • Clear understanding of program management processes.
  • Effectively communicate with an emphasis on the ability to interact in a positive manner with all levels of internal and client employees and management.
  • Adapts within evolving corporate & program management organizations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
