About The Position

The Program Manager directs and coordinates cross functional teams to execute program deliverables to meet customer milestones within an automotive phase gate process. Lead and direct cross functional teams to meet all internal quality and financial metrics. Provide timely quotes, ensure capacity needs will be met, and support continuous improvement cost reductions initiatives to meet financial goals.

Requirements

Bachelor degree in a technical discipline preferred
At least (3) years automotive experience preferred
Familiar with APQP / PPAP phase gate development process
Knowledge of OEM and/or related Tier 1 suppliers’ development deliverables, milestones, and processes requirements is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Project Management software
Demonstrates exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities

Award new projects by working with Cross-functional teams (CFT).
Review RFQ package with Sales/Engineering/Quality/Manufacturing team to define achievable specification for quotation.
Gather cost information from factory PM, prepare quotation package/financial analysis for management’s approval, and submit budgetary quotation to customer.
Drive cost optimization with the CFT throughout the project phase.
Gather competition information and prepare negotiating strategies to help awarding.
Follow up open RFQ and push for closure.
Manage contract review and obtain management’s approval.
Drive flawless launch of awarded projects.
Pursue NRE PO, prepare Asset Request (AR), work with Customer Service and Financial team to close AR payment and NRE PO invoicing.
Set up and manage internal/external project meetings to drive the open items resolved and closure.
Coordinate with the CFT to meet project timing/milestones.
Maintain Gantt charts for customer review on a weekly basis.
Maintain project financial update and meet pre-set financial goal.
Report financial status to management on a regular basis.
Coordinate/Supervise all the documents submission to meet the phase gate requirement.
Define project risk (4M analysis i.e. tooling, automatic machine, capacity, supply chain, cost impact) and take proactive actions to mitigate the risk.
Support change management after Start of Production (SOP).
Support forecasting and budget planning.
Assist in global automotive projects as needed, and other duties as assigned.
