About The Position

The Program Manager will be responsible for new product launches in the automotive glass sector, managing OEM customers, and overseeing multiple programs and window openings. This role involves developing economic models to forecast product outcomes and profits, monitoring product yield rates and output, and maintaining program budgets for components, tooling, equipment, and packaging. The Program Manager will manage costs from quote to invoice, input customer orders into the ERP system (PLEX), and serve as the primary point of contact for OEM customers. This individual will lead the internal 'iron triangle' and OEM program, present data-backed reports to OEM customers, and act as the 'Voice of the Customer' for internal processes. Responsibilities include organizing internal teams to meet customer deliverables, measuring financial risk for project investments, creating timing charts for on-time delivery, developing backup plans, managing expedited delivery schedules, and reporting economic issues to maximize profits. Within the first 90 days, the Program Manager must gain product and process knowledge, understand and present core product lines to customer management, and attend customer events. International and domestic travel, including overnights, may be required, up to 25% per fiscal quarter.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics or closely related field.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Develop economic models that forecast product outcomes and profits.
  • Monitor and analyze product yield rate and output.
  • Maintain program budget, including components, tooling, equipment, and packaging purchases.
  • Manage costs from quote to invoice.
  • Input customer orders into the Enterprise Resource Planning (“ERP”) system (PLEX).
  • Serve as the communication and single-point contact with OEM customers.
  • Act as the internal leader of the iron triangle and OEM program.
  • Present data-backed reports to OEM customers to support strategic business decisions.
  • Act as the Key Player/Value Stream Leader for the OEM customer, serving as the 'Voice of the Customer' for internal processes.
  • Organize internal teammates and processes to fulfill and support customer deliverables.
  • Measure the financial risk associated with project investment decisions.
  • Create timing charts to ensure on-time delivery of products to the customer.
  • Develop backup plans and manage expedited delivery schedules.
  • Manage offset of delays.
  • Report economic issues related to delivery to help the company maximize profits.
  • Acquire product and process knowledge commensurate with the leadership role within the first 90 days.
  • Understand and be able to present to customer management core product lines.
  • Attend customer-building events and meetings as appropriate.
  • Travel internationally and domestically as required.
