About The Position

The Program Manager role requires an in-depth understanding of technology, end-user markets, and multi-practice disciplines associated with customer development projects, along with knowledge of marketplace tools and vendors. Program Managers must also understand business/mission needs, regulatory, compliance, acquisition, and contractual requirements. This position operates on a hybrid model, requiring office presence in downtown Buffalo 3 days per week and allowing 2 days of remote work from home.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in general computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to additional applications as necessary.
  • Ability to consult, influence, and collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams, vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders to drive program alignment and execution.
  • Ability to communicate with executive-level associates internally and externally in an articulate and professional manner.
  • Practice discretion and understand the appropriateness of communication and behavior.
  • Proficient in delivering presentations that effectively convey information and contribute to the overall sales strategy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, requiring effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems to ensure smooth sales operations.
  • Possess strong diligence to ensure accuracy and precision in sales-related activities.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • General proficiency with various tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job.
  • A four-year college degree (or additional experience in a related field).
  • 3 years functional experience including a minimum 1-year position specific experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with project/program sponsors, customers, and Sales teams, including continuous attention to enhancing business relationships with internal and external customers and/or vendors.
  • Interact effectively with all levels of internal and client organizations to ensure project/program success by weighing alternatives and determining appropriate strategies.
  • Work with project/program stakeholders as necessary to establish resource needs and support program effectiveness.
  • Organize recommendations, business designs and results into a clear concise format for communication to all levels of management.
  • Own end‑to‑end program execution, including Developing detailed project/program plans, obtaining and coordinating commitments and resources, and tracking project/program timelines, tasks, and deliverables.
  • Work with various functional groups within the Sales organization to understand current processes, new processes in development, and methodologies to work towards implementing efficiencies.
  • Assist senior management with assessing business strategies based on a comprehensive understanding of Ingram Micro’s core businesses.
  • Support business growth through program effectiveness.
  • Oversee, track and report on any specific vertical market regulatory compliance requirements for doing business and ensure systems and processes exist.
  • Provide training and serve as SME for assigned programs/systems.
  • Document SOPs and standardize workflows to ensure consistency.
  • Ensure clear communication and timely resolution of issues.
  • Manage escalations and investigate root causes, working with appropriate teams to resolve.
  • Develop strategies around standardization of processes across cross functional areas.
