About The Position

A leading advanced battery technology company is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead cross-functional programs supporting the development and commercialization of next-generation battery cell and battery system technologies. This role will coordinate engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and customer-facing initiatives across high-priority programs serving electrification and high-performance applications. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical program management background, thrives in fast-paced R&D and manufacturing environments, and has experience leading complex engineering initiatives from development through execution. This is an urgent onsite opportunity based in Tucson, Arizona.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Program Management, Business, or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of Program Management experience in a technical or manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting battery technology, energy storage, EV, aerospace, defense, automotive, or advanced manufacturing programs strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of engineering development processes and cross-functional program execution
  • Ability to lead technical discussions with engineering and R&D teams
  • Proven experience managing schedules, priorities, budgets, and stakeholder communication
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Candidates with experience from advanced manufacturing, aerospace, defense, automotive, semiconductor, or other highly technical product development environments are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex battery technology programs from concept through production readiness
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including R&D, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain
  • Drive schedules, milestones, deliverables, risk mitigation, and resource planning
  • Serve as the primary liaison between technical leads, executive leadership, and external stakeholders
  • Track program performance metrics, budgets, timelines, and reporting requirements
  • Facilitate communication between engineering teams and business leadership to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables
  • Support commercialization activities related to advanced battery cells and battery systems
  • Ensure programs meet technical, operational, and customer expectations
  • Identify program risks and develop contingency plans to maintain project execution
  • Support strategic initiatives across emerging energy storage and electrification programs
