Requirements

  • Completion of university degree in engineering or a related field required
  • 3-5 year’s of related experience managing programs in a production/manufacturing environment required
  • Previous experience with GD&T required
  • Ability to read part drawings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Self-starter and willing to take on new challenges
  • Effective organization skills and ability to manage a heavy workload
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills to deal with issues as they arise
  • Negotiation/persuasion skills
  • Ability to handle difficult situations professionally
  • Regular travel required.
  • Valid passport and driver’s license required
  • Must have a proven performance, safety and attendance record not less than 6 months in current role

Nice To Haves

  • Strong moulding process knowledge (RIM, TPO, EPP) an asset
  • Knowledge of tool construction is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of program builds including cost, delivery, suppliers, customers, internal production and engineering changes
  • Conducts APQP activities including PDP & TraX, customer systems, internal documentation, maintaining PDP folders, gate reviews, CFTs, ECN system, and PPAP
  • Coordinates communication regarding program information between departments
  • Ability to meet/manage Program Budget (on average, $10, 000, 000)
  • Troubleshoots customer assembly plant issues
  • Validates designs through DV /PV testing, assembly trials and ergo studies
  • Participates in design decision making (feasibility, functionality, manufacturing ability)
  • Supports quoting of new business and assists with defining process requirements
  • Creates and presents quality and/or design issues and resolutions to customers
  • Manages build inventories with the production team
  • Other duties as assigned
