Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering discipline.
  • Ten to twenty years of proven experience in environmental services, particularly in federal and state contracts.
  • Experience leading projects/programs in excess of $50M.
  • Experienced leader with appropriate industry experience.
  • Strategic thinker with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and operational focus.
  • Desire and drive to develop and grow an expanding environmental services portfolio.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules governing environmental projects and programs.
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to deal effectively with a variety of interpersonal relationships and situations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in an Alaska Native Corporation multi-business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership to support growing and sustaining environmental service programs.
  • Support contractual and field efforts.
  • Support proposal development efforts.
  • Cultivate and maintain business relationships.
  • Develop overall direction to guide planning at the service, client, and contract level in conjunction with the Regional Director.
  • Ensure business development and program delivery efforts align with strategic goals.
  • Ensure programs meet expected goals and deliver planned benefits.
  • Identify, analyze, and prepare for program risks.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and security processes.
  • Support organizational policies and procedures to enhance overall operation and effectiveness with Safety as a primary focus.
  • Identify and manage conflicts.
  • Support a high-performance team environment where diversity is valued, and people are treated with respect and dignity.
  • Provide direct input by generating leads and providing technical support for proposal development.
  • Collaborate with various groups within Calista, Bilista, and multiple client organizations.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Supervise Environmental Scientists, Engineers, Chemists, Technicians, and Project Managers.
