Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering discipline.
Ten to twenty years of proven experience in environmental services, particularly in federal and state contracts.
Experience leading projects/programs in excess of $50M.
Experienced leader with appropriate industry experience.
Strategic thinker with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and operational focus.
Desire and drive to develop and grow an expanding environmental services portfolio.
Knowledge of laws, legal codes, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules governing environmental projects and programs.
Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to deal effectively with a variety of interpersonal relationships and situations.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work in an Alaska Native Corporation multi-business environment.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership to support growing and sustaining environmental service programs.
Support contractual and field efforts.
Support proposal development efforts.
Cultivate and maintain business relationships.
Develop overall direction to guide planning at the service, client, and contract level in conjunction with the Regional Director.
Ensure business development and program delivery efforts align with strategic goals.
Ensure programs meet expected goals and deliver planned benefits.
Identify, analyze, and prepare for program risks.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and security processes.
Support organizational policies and procedures to enhance overall operation and effectiveness with Safety as a primary focus.
Identify and manage conflicts.
Support a high-performance team environment where diversity is valued, and people are treated with respect and dignity.
Provide direct input by generating leads and providing technical support for proposal development.
Collaborate with various groups within Calista, Bilista, and multiple client organizations.
Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervise Environmental Scientists, Engineers, Chemists, Technicians, and Project Managers.
