About The Position

The Precision Landing Product Directorate within Collins Aerospace Mission Systems is seeking a Program Manager (PM) to lead multiple programs within the Joint Precision Aircraft Landing System (JPALS) portfolio. In this role, you will manage all cost, schedule, and technical execution activities for assigned programs and work closely with multiple customers. Strong relationship-building skills are essential to meet commitments and drive follow-on business in support of the JPALS Annual Operating Plan (AOP). This role requires an execution-focused leader with a strong command of program management best practices. You will operate with significant autonomy, demonstrate executive presence, lead complex cross-functional teams, foster a culture of accountability, and exemplify RTX values and leadership behaviors. This is an Onsite role at our Fullerton, CA facility.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in military or aerospace and defense industry
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with 5 years of experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience leading full life-cycle programs (capture through closeout)
  • Proven ability to establish and sustain positive customer relationships
  • Proficient in program management tools and processes including EVMS, IMP/IMS, and risk/opportunity management
  • Experience managing multiple contract types (CPIF, CPFF, FFP, DCS, FMS)
  • Direct program leadership experience on programs up to $25M
  • Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Nice To Haves

  • Earned Value or Program Management certifications
  • Experience working with NAVAIR PMAs on major ACAT I/II programs
  • Experience with air traffic control or precision approach systems
  • Experience collaborating with USN/USMC users to translate field feedback into improved capabilities
  • Shipboard or aircraft platform integration experience
  • Subcontractor management experience for technical development efforts
  • Degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Lead full product and service lifecycle management from pursuit and capture through development, production, delivery, support, and long-term strategic planning
  • Serve as chair of the Program Management Team (PMT), accountable for contract lifecycle management, cost/schedule performance, and on-time delivery
  • Act as the primary customer interface and represent the organization in all program matters
  • Manage Profit & Loss (P&L) for an assigned value stream or portfolio
  • Ensure effective risk mitigation, adherence to company policies, and alignment with strategic goals
