Requirements

  • Requires an MSW or master’s degree in a related human services field.
  • Requires four years of progressively administrative child welfare experience with an MSW OR five years of progressively responsible administrative child welfare experience with a master’s degree in a related human services field.
  • Requires ability to pass a background check.
  • Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties. Requires appropriate, valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefers 5 years of professional experience managing or conducting program monitoring for a public or private child welfare agency
  • Prefers 3 years of experience supervising professional staff engaged in the provision of child welfare services
  • Prefers 3 years of professional experience in the development and implementation of policies and procedures in a social service agency.
  • Prefers 3 years of professional experience in the development of strategies for the improvement of social service program services

Responsibilities

  • Serves as Program Manager
  • Serves as full line supervisor of subordinate staff
  • Provides input into all statewide monitoring activities
  • Consults with and advises community and regional advisory councils, committees, and private agencies on program needs, standards, and services.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
