About The Position

The Program Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of all programs and activities at the Paso Robles Senior Center. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, engaging, and accessible programming that promotes the health, wellness, and social connectedness of older adults. The Program Manager works collaboratively with staff, volunteers, community partners, and participants to maximize facility use, fiscal performance, and program impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Social Services, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in program management, preferably in a senior services or community-based setting.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience supervising staff and volunteers.
  • Proficiency in scheduling systems, data tracking tools, and basic office software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of aging services, wellness programming, and community resources is highly desirable.
  • Valid Driver's License and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate a wide range of programs (health, wellness, recreation, education, social services) using needs assessments, attendance trends, and community data.
  • Develop monthly and quarterly program calendars aligned with participant interests, organizational goals, and inclusive, culturally responsive, accessible practices.
  • Manage all scheduling and logistics, including centralized facility calendars, room assignments, class and event coordination, registration, enrollment, waitlists, and attendance tracking.
  • Coordinate instructors, vendors, and partner organizations to ensure high‑quality program delivery and efficient use of space and resources.
  • Supervise program staff, instructors, and volunteers; oversee onboarding, scheduling, training, performance support, and ongoing communication.
  • Build and maintain community partnerships; coordinate guest speakers, workshops, collaborative events, and promote programs through outreach, newsletters, social media, and community presence.
  • Support facility operations by ensuring program spaces are safe, clean, ADA‑compliant, and properly equipped; track and submit facility and equipment needs; uphold grant, contract, and policy requirements.
  • Monitor participation, outcomes, and satisfaction; prepare reports on attendance and trends; use data to guide program improvements and strategic planning.
  • Assist with program budgeting; track expenses, revenue, fees, and supplies; support fundraising efforts and grant reporting.
