About The Position

National Youth Advocate Program is seeking a Program Manager for our Center for Family Engagement and Well-Being. This is a lead position for a program that operates 24/7, requiring availability after hours and weekends. The program manager is responsible for the day-to-day administration and supervision of assigned programs, oversight of assigned staff, and ensuring quality service delivery and compliance with contractual guidelines.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
  • Two years’ direct experience in the field of human services.
  • Relevant experience working with individuals being served through the child welfare and/or juvenile justice system.
  • Must be knowledgeable of group facilitation/mediation practices and principles.
  • Training, education, and/or experience related to the following: Family facilitation, mediation, and/or conflict resolution.
  • Strengths based assessment and planning.
  • Communication and ability to relate to diverse groups and manage interpersonal conflict.
  • Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smartphones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be open and willing to work non-traditional work hours as well as on-call responsibilities.
  • Must be able to embrace working as a diverse team both effectively and respectfully with persons of any background, race, color, religion, sexual orientation, ability, national origin, or culture.
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Must possess good verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Maintain a strong culture with staff.
  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Good driving record.
  • Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,00/$300,000 bodily injury liability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administration coordination for program contracts while aggressively seeking the growth and expansion in the local market(s) through relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Provides clinical coordination for regional services, individual, family and group counseling, and individual supervision of all staff as assigned.
  • Oversees Diagnostic Assessment, treatment plan development, attend treatment team meetings and any other meetings on behalf of the client.
  • Reviews and signs off on all paperwork generated by the Treatment Coordinators and Treatment Advocates.
  • Leads clinical team of multi-professionals and trains and supports team members in the region.
  • Works with Treatment Coordinators in coordinating services for youth obtained in the community, including mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational and social services.
  • Assigns advocate services, when authorized, and regularly reviews the progress and status of the youth’s advocate component making adjustments as necessary and appropriate.
  • Coordinates and develops curriculum activities.
  • Coordinate all intake services, initial paperwork, and documentation.
  • Recruit mediator volunteers for the program.
  • Assign mediation services, when authorized, and regularly review the progress and status of the case(s).
  • Conduct mediation appointments as needed.
  • Maintain productivity standards on a monthly basis.
  • Makes public appearances and presentations as requested.
  • Provides on-call services and works with children, adults and families as necessary or assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with other NYAP programs and staff throughout the organization.
  • Sign off on all Incident Reports and other required reports as well as submitting the reports for processing according to agency policy.
  • Submit weekly reports to the Executive Director.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with personnel policies and the program’s fiscal guidelines.
  • Manage staffing schedules, call-offs, and shift coverage.
