About The Position

The Boeing Company BDS has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager (Level K) to join the E-7 Mission Systems (MS) Program Management team. This leadership position will oversee a subset of the Mission Systems Integrated Product Team (IPT) and provide program management across several key areas, ensuring alignment of engineering efforts with program goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing program execution in diverse mission systems areas such as Sensor Integration, EO/IR, Self Protection, Electronic Support Measures (ESM), Mission Computing hardware, and Sensor Performance Analysis.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
  • 1+ year of experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience in preparing and presenting executive level briefings
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)
  • Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • Experience working on special access programs
  • Experience with early phase development programs through System Requirements Review (SRR) and Preliminary Design Review (PDR)
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing business management activities in the area of Program Management
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Establishes Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) program goals and establishes a PMBP improvement plan.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
