MobilizeGreen is seeking a Program Manager to join our residential, on-site Youth Conservation Programs (YCP) team. As a Manager, you must be committed to the organization’s mission, our participants’ wellbeing, and our partner’s project goals. In this role, you will serve as a key contact, supervisor, and administrator for multiple youth cohorts based in the National Forest System. MobilizeGreen is a nonprofit organization helping to build the next generation of green leaders who are creating a more just and sustainable future. All MobilizeGreen staff must be committed to the organization's core principles and workplace values, including a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. You will manage a team of 2-3 Program Coordinators in all preparation, implementation, and program evaluation for an overnight, travel conservation program, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and management of crews. This is a largely self-directed role that requires confidence in remote team leadership, data management, outdoor safety, and creative problem solving. The program centers personal and professional development in conservation and land management careers. Each summer, about 72 students from all across the United States of America will travel together to participate in the program for 3 weeks. Students will likely be hosted by the Superior National Forest (MN), the San Bernardino National Forest (CA), and a third national forest site. A program coordinator will be stationed at each site to supervise a team of 5 crew leaders (ages 21+). Travel to the sites is required for training, quality assurance, and in the case of emergencies requiring additional personnel.
