Program Manager - Therapeutics Accelerator
About The Position
The Program Manager will lead strategic planning, operational execution, and stakeholder engagement across the Therapeutics Accelerator portfolio at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The Therapeutics Accelerator advances innovative therapeutic discoveries from concept to clinical impact. The role connects scientific, clinical, and operational teams to keep programs aligned, achieve milestones, and move therapeutic opportunities efficiently through the development pipeline. The position coordinates multiple translational research and drug development initiatives, working with internal teams and external academic, industry, and research collaborators. It also supports portfolio management, establishes program management practices and reporting frameworks, and drives improvements to operational efficiency and therapeutic development outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of program or project management experience supporting scientific, biomedical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Proven ability to develop project plans, manage timelines, track deliverables, and support organizational decision-making.
- Exceptional organizational and program management capabilities with strong attention to detail.
- Effective collaboration and relationship-building skills across multidisciplinary teams and leadership levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex concepts for varied audiences.
- Strategic problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Adaptability, initiative, and a results-oriented approach to achieving program objectives.

Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of therapeutic development programs across the Therapeutics Accelerator portfolio.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, milestones, risks, and deliverables for multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Partner with scientific, clinical, and operational leaders to advance translational research programs toward development objectives.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings, working groups, and governance forums to drive decision-making and accountability.
- Monitor project progress and communicate status updates, risks, mitigation strategies, and resource needs to stakeholders.
- Coordinate activities across internal teams and external academic, industry, and research collaborators.
- Support strategic planning and portfolio management activities aligned with institutional priorities and goals.
- Establish and implement program management best practices, processes, and reporting frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and accelerate therapeutic development outcomes.
