About The Position

Responsible for the performance of all work under the contract and holds full authority to act for the contractor on all matters relating to daily operations of the air item maintenance shop supporting E Co, 189th DSSB, 82nd Airborne Division. Directs the qualified rigger workforce delivering 100% Technical Rigger Inspection, repair, and fabrication services.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a DoD-approved Parachute Rigger Course (MOS 92R equivalent) for repair of Army type-classified personnel and cargo parachute systems
  • Verified supervisory experience in a military or DoD Aerial Delivery Facility, as military or civilian
  • Qualified to maintain and repair the T-11M, T-11R, G-11, G-12, T-10C, and 15-foot, 22-foot, 26-foot High Velocity, and 28-foot extraction parachutes

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the contractor's single point of authority for all contract matters relating to daily operations
  • Be available 0830 to 1730, Monday through Friday, to act for the contractor
  • Develop, implement, and manage the Quality Control Plan and Quality Control Program
  • Ensure shop personnel complete the six-week (42 working day) E Co certification and training program
  • Oversee 100% Technical Rigger Inspections, maintenance, alterations, and repairs across all supported parachute systems
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly activity reports and all required contract deliverables
  • Plan and execute phase-in and phase-out activities to sustain continuity of services
