Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has been providing quality social services for over 125 years, offering 160-plus programs and services for various age groups and those with mental illness. The Older Adult Centers focus on promoting an active life for seniors, helping them maintain independence and health through diverse activities and services like meals, health screenings, social services, educational workshops, exercises, discussion groups, games, art classes, lectures, outings, and special events. The Program Manager is responsible for the daily administration and operation of the Older Adult Center, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment, high-quality services, budget adherence, and compliance with all contractual obligations. This role involves building strong relationships with local health providers, NORC, and community organizations to ensure continuity of care and support "aging in place" strategies. The manager will foster an environment that celebrates and respects the diversity of all ethnic older adult members, ensure quality programs and services (including meals) meet agency and funding source regulations, and hold staff accountable for service delivery, food service management, supportive services, and maintaining health and safety guidelines. The position also requires ensuring program and staff compliance with agency and contractual regulations, maintaining fiscal accountability within the program budget, preparing reports for the Director of Field Operations on various aspects of the program, and representing the program at agency and community meetings.
