Program Manager - Wiring
About The Position
As a member of the Program Management team, the Program Manager will be responsible for driving the cross-functional team to accomplish product launch while utilizing Lear Program Management Process and disciplines. This role involves running regular meetings with Key Customer Liaisons, Sales, Purchasing, Lead Unit Engineering, Plant Product Engineering, and Plant Quality. The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring accountability to the APQP process for quality launches, managing program budget requirements and financial returns to meet or exceed Lear hurdle rates and corporate commitments, running Management Gate Reviews in LearPro, and creating Program Deliverable Timelines based on customer milestones. This position will be the face of Lear to the customer and will report to the Platform Director or specific OEM Customer Lead (Platform Manager).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business
- At least 5 years of automotive experience
- Firm grasp of APQP principles
- Working knowledge of program and operational finance
- Proven record of managing within cross functional teams and matrix style organizations
- Ability to travel domestically, with occasional international
