About The Position

ECDI is a nonprofit organization, dedicated to serving small business owners. Our goal is to ensure that every entrepreneur has access to funding and the business mentoring services they need to succeed and help their communities flourish. We're based in Columbus, with offices in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Akron, Portsmouth, Toledo, and Dayton. For small business clients in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, we serve a one-stop resource center. ECDI is looking for a Program Manager for our Cleveland Women’s Business Center The Program Manager will support the success of ECDI’s Women’s Business Centers (WBC) by managing programs, coordinating projects, and collaborating with internal teams and partners to deliver training and services to entrepreneurs. This role’s primary focus will be supporting the Cleveland WBC, while also contributing to statewide WBC initiatives as needed. Responsibilities include executing key programs such as the Professional Advisory Network (PAN), the WBC Annual Event, monthly New Member Orientation workshops, and bi-monthly ECDI information sessions. The Program Manager will also support staff training, assist with grant-related program outcomes and reporting, and contribute to statewide WBC training and program implementation. This position is a hybrid role that will split time in-office and in-person with clients with the flexibility to work from home part of the time, as determined by manager and business needs. The starting annual salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000. Candidates for this position must be located in the Cleveland area.

Requirements

  • Small business development knowledge
  • Familiarity with Northern Ohio small business territory, market, and clients
  • Training and curriculum development and implementation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with socially and economically disadvantaged entrepreneurs and diverse communities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment, and techniques; knowledge of adult learning techniques
  • Experience with and knowledge of computer operation.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Proficient understanding of database or CRM systems, required
  • Associate degree in business or related field AND 3-5 years’ experience project management, business coaching, and/or event planning; OR an equivalent amount of training and experience.
  • Must have access to transportation in order to travel to and from the office and to offsite meetings
  • Typically, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time.
  • The person in this position will occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., and operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a copy machine and computer printer.
  • Positions self to move items up to 15 pounds, such as printer paper boxes across the office as needed.
  • Must be able to avoid risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the execution of training, events, and programs for the Women's Business Centers of Ohio, focused in Cleveland
  • Assists with ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance
  • Gathers program data and provides accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its lifecycle
  • Ensures appropriate marketing is created for WBC programs
  • Create partnerships and/or sponsorships with local companies and organizations
  • Onboards PAN volunteers; coordinate PAN advising schedule; execute PAN appreciation events; record PAN advising in Salesforce and distribute quarterly activity reports
  • Attends and identifies community outreach events
  • Support tracking and reporting of program KPIs including client engagement, counseling hours, business starts, capital access outcomes, and workshop participation, in coordination with the Director
  • Contribute to maintaining program alignment with grant requirements, documentation standards, and reporting timelines
  • Assist in collecting and analyzing program data and client feedback to inform continuous improvement strategies
  • Processes new members and updates the membership database
  • Fields incoming membership inquiries whether by email, phone, or walk-ins
  • Provides direct one-on-one coaching to multiple small business clients daily, including idea stage and growth stage businesses
  • Implements and manages changes and interventions in clients’ business plans and referred resources to ensure business needs are met
  • Provides general technical assistance (TA) support to clients with a lending focus
  • Maintain accurate and timely Salesforce documentation within hours-of-service delivery to ensure data integrity and audit readiness
  • Collaborate with RMs to manage WBC lending pipeline
  • Collaborates cross departmentally to meet client and grant needs.
  • Supports maintenance of accurate client files, documents, and profiles for necessary paper files and in appropriate tracking systems
  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of and adheres to all ECDI policies and procedures
  • Perform other related activities, as required, to assure program/department success
  • Represent the organization in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Support the Director of Infrastructure to oversee office policies and standards of operations for general office expectations.
  • Lead everyday duties with guiding and aiding the essential pillars of ECDI.
  • Actively rethink and outline practices that can better connect offices and departments.
  • Maintain a flexible manner, diplomatic dialogue, and show willingness to offer support to staff and clients.
  • Answer questions about pre-loan processes, lending processes, post-loan processes, and other ECDI programs.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of and adhere to all ECDI policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate client files, documents, and profiles for necessary paper files and in appropriate tracking systems.
  • Participate in meetings and provide suggestions for improvement for the department and the organization.
  • Perform other related activities, as required, to assure department and organizational success
