About The Position

The Program Manager, Strategic Operations in Technical Program Management sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, playing a key role in aligning stakeholders, optimizing resources, and ensuring programs deliver measurable value to the organization. This highly visible role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to translate business goals into actionable programs, manage complex interdependencies, and deliver results aligned with company priorities. This is a full-time remote role with a preference for a candidate in Rochester, NY, with a base salary of $120,000-$159,000 and a 10% bonus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of program management experience, ideally in a strategic or cross-functional capacity.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex initiatives on time and within scope.
  • Strong understanding of strategic planning, operational efficiency, and change management.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in program management tools, such as Smartsheet or Microsoft Project.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in management consulting or a corporate strategy role.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Lean methodologies.
  • Ability to influence and drive decision-making across senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end management of strategic initiatives, from concept through execution and measurement.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define program goals, KPIs, and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with teams across product, engineering, finance, operations, marketing, and HR to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Identify organizational change impacts and develop strategies to ensure smooth adoption and implementation.
  • Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep programs on track.
  • Deliver clear and timely updates to stakeholders and executive leadership, including status reports, dashboards, and business impact summaries.
  • Recommend improvements to program frameworks, tools, and processes to enhance effectiveness and scalability.
  • Other duties as assigned.
