About The Position

JLL is seeking an Signage Project Manager to oversee the delivery and stewardship of corporate signage and wayfinding projects across commercial office environments and the AMER portfolio. Functioning as a subject matter expert, you will manage the full project lifecycle from wayfinding strategy, design handoff, and programming through competitive bidding, fabrication, installation, and project closeout. This role serves as a critical quality control partner and primary liaison connecting Workplace Design & Construction (WD&C) teams, Senior Designers, signage fabricators, site operations, and field execution teams. You will balance multiple concurrent schedules and project budgets while maintaining strict adherence to technical accuracy, global signage standards, and local compliance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from an accredited 4-year college or university with 2–4+ years of project management experience within commercial interiors, signage, construction, workplace design, or corporate real estate.
  • Proven track record of managing interior signage, branding, wayfinding, or construction projects from initiation through completion and closeout.
  • Proficiency in reading and reviewing shop drawings, design packages, construction documentation, and programming signage messages and locations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing third-party fabricators, competitive bidding processes, project budgets, and vendor performance.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Smartsheet).
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 2–3 times per month to project sites for surveys, field inspections, and critical installation overviews.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification.
  • Knowledge of ADA signage standards, environmental graphics, interior branding systems, and local AMER code requirements.
  • Direct experience managing installation punch lists, site quality control, facilities management coordination, and patch-and-paint or decommissioning scopes.
  • Demonstrated capability to balance competing priorities independently in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project schedules, scope, and kickoff activities with Senior Designers, WD&C teams, and key stakeholders to establish clear delivery expectations and wayfinding strategies.
  • Conduct site surveys and document existing field conditions across the portfolio to support accurate project planning, constructability, and signage location programming.
  • Review design packages, shop drawings, and construction documentation for completeness, compliance with design intent, and fabrication readiness.
  • Lead the competitive bidding process for signage fabricators, perform bid reviews, issue award recommendations, and manage ongoing vendor relationships, budgeting, and invoicing.
  • Track manufacturing schedules, monitor production milestones, manage risks/escalations, and conduct quality checkpoints throughout the fabrication lifecycle.
  • Coordinate installation logistics, site access, and field activities with general contractors, vendors, and site operations teams. Perform on-site inspections and manage punch lists to guarantee quality standards.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for signage program delivery, maintain financial/annual reporting, and provide technical guidance or training to junior staff and signage installers.
  • Manage end-of-project activities, including warranty documentation, decommissioning, patch-and-paint scope, and final record keeping.
