Under supervision by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (Assoc. Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Supervisor, or Director of Severe Behavior Services), this role provides specialized behavior intervention services to individuals with severe challenging behaviors diagnosed with autism, developmental delays, developmental disabilities and/or diagnosis. The Program Manager supervises direct reports and provides program management for an assigned region/team in coordination with the BCBA. The position ensures high quality services for participants and that all treatment provided follows protocols established and approved by ESSC. It supports both center and home-based services and operations. The role involves managing, providing work-direction, quality and clinical supervision to SBS Behavior Technicians to ensure they follow established (ABA) procedures and implement treatment plans according to ESSC approved practices/protocols, monitoring participant progress, and guiding, coaching, and reinforcing the SBS team. The Program Manager also handles their own caseload, develops and delivers specific intervention activities, and provides parent/caregiver education. They are responsible for the integrity of documentation, ensuring all records are complete, correct, and timely updated by SBS behavior technicians, and performing data reliability and fidelity checks regularly. The role assists the BCBA in creating and delivering intervention activities, clinical research protocols, and program/quality development strategies, reporting regularly on program results and escalating complex issues. It also involves planning with the SBS team regarding treatment updates, attending various meetings and trainings, and identifying, coordinating, and delivering ongoing competency-based training to direct reports, including new hires. The Program Manager has full authority for personnel actions, manages and evaluates staff performance, and maintains professional communications with participants and families, escalating concerns to their supervisor. They are expected to remain current on new research and developments in the field and support Behavior Technicians and Program Managers in the clinic for at least two 4-hour shifts per week.
