About The Position

The American Cancer Society is dedicated to ending cancer and is seeking a Program Manager to provide end-to-end management of cross-functional programs and projects. This fully remote position, based anywhere in the US, involves planning, execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of programs. The role requires coordination with internal and external partners, management of timelines, budgets, and deliverables, and ensuring alignment with organizational and partner goals. The Program Manager will establish operating frameworks, prepare leadership communications and reports using data, and guide timely execution across initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 to 5 years of experience
  • Strong program and project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and facilitation skills.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or initiatives with competing priorities.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience using project management and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to analyze data, track performance metrics, and apply insights to decision-making.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable, and results-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and monitor programs and projects to ensure delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate internal partners across pillars, regions, and programs to define program scope, objectives, timelines, and success measures.
  • Coordinate cross-functional and external partners, serving as a primary point of contact for program operations.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, dashboards, and documentation to track progress, risks, and dependencies as needed.
  • Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, document action items, and follow-up to ensure accountability.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and barriers to successful program delivery; escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for leadership and partners.
  • Support contracting, vendor coordination, and resource management as needed.
  • Use data and partner feedback to inform continuous improvement.
  • Support trainings, events, or convenings as required by program needs.
