About The Position

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Mill, SC. The role involves leading and managing the planning and execution of complex projects and initiatives within the organization. The Program Manager/Release Train Engineer will coordinate the activities of the project team, identify necessary resources, and develop schedules to meet completion deadlines. This role requires partnering with executive leadership, engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities and guide technical and product strategies. The individual will determine the scope and impact of project risks and issues, and raise and resolve them. A good understanding of IT project leadership concepts and procedures is necessary to resolve issues, along with a comprehensive understanding of how different IT project leadership areas collectively integrate to contribute to achieving business goals. The role involves providing evaluative judgment based on the analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations. The Program Manager/Release Train Engineer will oversee the end-to-end product development process, ensuring timely and quality delivery of complex programs and products. Communication and diplomacy skills are essential for persuading and influencing others, with the potential to negotiate with external parties. The role includes developing detailed IT work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Maintaining relationships with external partners such as vendors, suppliers, customers, investors, analysts, media outlets, government agencies, and industry associations is also a key responsibility. The position has considerable business impact through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards. Regular reviews of progress against project milestones will be conducted, with adjustments made as needed. A comprehensive understanding of how one's own area and other areas (e.g., architecture or infrastructure) collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives is required. Expertise in the area and an advanced level of understanding of IT project leadership principles are expected. The ability to identify potential issues early and address them proactively is crucial. The role also involves coordinating resources effectively to maximize efficiency and minimize costs, ensuring timely communication of relevant information to stakeholders, and identifying and implementing process improvements. Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to all aspects of the project lifecycle, and managing budgets, resource allocation, and other financial aspects of the project are also key duties.
