About The Position

Under the direction of the Center for Equity for English Learner's (CEEL’s) Executive Director and Directors, the Program/Project Manager will collaborate on the Center’s projects, including leading and coordinating CEEL’s operations. The program/project manager will provide leadership and oversight for program management with internal and external partners, as well as compile data analysis to support strategic planning and implementation. This position will review applicable policies and procedures, research issues, analyze institutional data, prepare reports, and make recommendations for process improvement.

Requirements

  • Typically a master’s degree preferably in Education or related field or equivalent experience, with comparable experience in research and evaluation.
  • Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
  • Minimum five years of experience.
  • Experience with schools and school systems responding to the needs of linguistic diverse students in the PK-12 system
  • Experience with managing budgets and grant writing
  • Effective organization and management techniques
  • Knowledge of curricular and instructional knowledge appropriate for linguistically diverse students in multilingual settings
  • Extensive knowledge in research, principles, practices, methods, and techniques for first and second language acquisition
  • Effective writing and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Director, Directors and Project Leads/Teams.
  • Lead in all operational aspects of Center and work collaboratively with the Leadership Team. This requires managing detailed project plans and to ensure milestones are met.
  • Serve as liaison between CEEL’s internal and external partners.
  • Lead the CEEL team by coordinating team meetings, assignments and deliverables across organizations with Center leadership.
  • Job functions include developing and managing an overall project plans, leading weekly team meetings, compiling notes for grant reports and monitoring progress of CEEL projects.
  • Facilitate, plan and implement internal and external communications. This requires extensive outreach, engagement, and coordination with multiple partners.
  • Support compilation of resources. This includes analyzing notes and presenting the findings from various project milestones.
  • Coordinate graphic design and webpage development. Collaborate with communications teams at CEEL build out new tools and manage existing channels for internal and external communications.
  • Manage Advisory Committee. Support ongoing partnership agreements and engage communications and conversations.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by CEEL Leadership. Collaborate with partners and internal teams to maintain and continue collaboration for vision and plan.
