About The Position

HII – Mission Technologies is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead our FEDSIM managed program supporting United States Special Operations Pacific (SOCPAC). The Program Manager will work closely with the FEDSIM COR, multiple military mission sponsors, and our HII team. The Program Manager’s responsibilities include the leadership and management of all projects and the program as a whole ensuring that all requirements are met on time, within budget, and within scope. Oversees all aspects of program personnel located throughout the US and INDOPACOM. Sets deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitors, and summarize progress of projects in compliance with all Contract Deliverables. Prepare reports for government customers and Business Area Managers regarding the status of the program. Drives the business development cycle to grow additional projects that support SOCPAC and INDOPACOM and their component commands. The successful candidate will continue the existing high level of performance and also grow our support to maximize ceiling values. This position will ideally be based on O’ahu Hawaii.

Requirements

  • 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Must have more than 6 years with Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from Project Management Institute (PMI) or 3 years with Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III Program Management certification.
  • Must have 8 years of demonstrated experience managing DOD performance-based projects and/or programs with multiple geographically dispersed performance locations.
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in managing Cost type contracts in support of the Department of Defense.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing contracts awarded and administrated by GSA/FEDSIM.
  • 3+ years of experience with using Smartsheet or SQL databases in the management of projects, the utilization of Office 365 products to flatten communications with a geographically dispersed organization, and/or utilization/development of other solutions to share program management information with the Government and corporate structure at the pace necessary to effectively manage the program.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the profit and loss of a large complex program.
  • Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.
  • Responsible for serving multiple customers requiring developing and managing plans across several subcontractors.
  • Responsible for overseeing a program contained at one primary geographic location however covering remote locations and multiple business functions and employees directly assigned to the program.
  • The program involves several projects that are providing subject matter expertise to new technologies.
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs.
  • Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Develops new business or expands services with the customer.
  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems, and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Directs the work of employees including management level assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
  • Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.
