About The Position

The Program Manager, Membership Marketing will be responsible for supporting membership growth through the execution and management of marketing programs and campaigns. This role is well-suited for a marketer who is organized, data-curious, and skilled at bringing programs to life across multiple channels. The ideal candidate has experience managing projects and initiatives end-to-end, a strong collaborative instinct, and a genuine investment in the member experience and the communities they serve. This role will report to the Director, Marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Event Management, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing program management, membership marketing, event marketing, or a similar role.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of executing programs on time and on budget.
  • Comfortable working with data and marketing performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with email marketing, social media, and digital campaign execution.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Eagerness to test, learn, and iterate across programs and campaigns.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an association, membership-based organization, or events-driven environment preferred.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, CRM systems, or marketing automation platforms a plus.
  • Experience coordinating member-facing programs or events with measurable outcomes.
  • Familiarity with marketing and CRM platforms (e.g., Optimizely, Delivra, Salesforce, Cvent).

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of membership growth initiatives focused on acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Manage the day-to-day coordination of campaigns and programs, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with broader marketing objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve member touchpoints and contribute ideas for new channels and tactics.
  • Execute multi-channel digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, owned media, and content marketing.
  • Support the planning and optimization of campaigns across email, social media, and digital channels, tracking performance against key metrics such as leads generated, MQLs, SQLs, conversion rates, closed wins, open rates, click-to-open rates, and more.
  • Assist with A/B testing, personalization, and optimization efforts to refine messaging and creative.
  • Leverage AI to support content development, audience segmentation, and campaign optimization, staying current on emerging applications relevant to membership marketing.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team, Digital Marketing Data Lead, and agency partners to manage campaign execution and maintain a pulse on performance reporting, leveraging data and insights to continuously inform messaging, positioning, and future campaign development.
  • Manage execution of member engagement programs, including personalized communications, renewal campaigns, and community-building initiatives.
  • Partner with the sales team to track and analyze lead flow through the marketing and sales funnel, using data to identify gaps, refine handoff processes, and continuously improve the quality and conversion of leads generated through membership marketing efforts.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators including member acquisition, engagement, and retention metrics.
  • Analyze campaign and program data to identify trends and surface actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain dashboards and regular reporting cadences to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Associate, Membership Marketing to ensure a unified and consistent approach to supporting the sales team’s acquisition efforts, including aligned messaging, coordinated campaign execution, and shared visibility into pipeline activity.
  • Coordinate with internal marketing counterparts and external vendors to support partnership and co-marketing initiatives.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for third-party organizations and vendors involved in membership marketing programs.
