About The Position

Educators for Excellence (E4E) is seeking a Program Manager - Local Impact to support program operations initiatives, including focused support for three local chapter teams (Minnesota, Massachusetts, and Chicago) in their mission to ensure educators have a voice in the decisions that impact their students and schools. This role will play a critical part in ensuring E4E’s teacher-leader fellowships are operationalized with excellence. While this role is primarily focused on supporting our Minnesota, Massachusetts, and Chicago chapters, E4E is a growing organization, and this role may evolve to include support for additional locations over time and other initiatives that will support across all geographies. The right candidate is comfortable with some ambiguity, proactive, detail-oriented, and energized by the connective tissue of organizational work. Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations & Impact, the Program Manager Local Impact provides executive support, manages team operations, and coordinates events and programming for local leaders and the national program team. This person is the organizational hub of the teams you support, as well as demonstrating resourcefulness and deep commitment to the mission.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency with G Suite and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort with phone and email outreach
  • High level of organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Own project management for a subset of priority initiatives with a focus on the following E4E chapters: Minnesota, Massachusetts & Chicago, and other projects that may arise
  • Partnering with project leads to define scope and goals, developing project plans and timelines, coordinating team members across functions, coordinating cross-functional meetings, tracking deliverables and deadlines, assigning next steps and owners, and following up to ensure projects stay on track
  • Track deliverables across the local program team and surface risks or bottlenecks early
  • Ensure follow-through on action items from meetings, retreats, and planning processes
  • Liaise between national teams and chapters to ensure alignment and clear communication on shared priorities
  • Work closely with the Executive Directors and State Directors to support program priorities and assigned projects, including the launch and operationalizing of our local teaching fellowships
  • Manage team Asana workflows and key deadlines across the local program team
  • Alongside the Executive Directors & State Directors, co-create and facilitate agendas for team meetings, retreats, and planning spaces
  • Maintain and improve documentation systems to ensure shared resources are accessible and up to date
  • Serve as the go-to resource for team-wide operational questions and coordination needs
  • Write briefings for meetings, events, and travel
  • Support partnership meetings, including research, follow-up, and communications
  • Lead the planning and coordination of logistical details for large events (100+ attendees) and programs
  • Support chapter Executive and State directors and teacher leaders with executing logistics for small events and regular programs, including Teacher Fellowships and trainings
  • Manage vendor relationships and event materials, communications, and follow-up
  • Support tracking event outcomes and maintain accurate records in Salesforce
  • Support onboarding for new staff members, coordinating logistics, access to tools, and connections to key team members in a remote environment to local and national teams
  • Improve virtual team systems and workflows to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and productivity across a distributed team
  • Coordinate aspects of program budgeting, billing, staff expenditures, and reimbursements; stay within budget
  • Serve as a point of contact between local and national staff for org-wide updates and communications
  • Manage vendor relationships, travel coordination, and on-site logistics for in-person events
  • Boost local team culture in a remote environment through virtual team-building initiatives, staff appreciation programs, and contributing to a strong sense of connection across the team
