About The Position

The Program Manager IV is responsible for the evaluation and improvement of quality programs through facilitation and support of the annual strategic planning process for the program, achievement of growth goals for the program, and shared accountability for the achievement of quality, service, and financial performance goals for the program. This role leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of outreach program activities aligned with strategic priorities. The position partners with clinical, operational, and executive leaders to expand programs, strengthen care pathways, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. A primary focus is advancing strategic outreach and network development—building and maintaining relationships with regional providers and partner hospitals to improve referral pathways, share clinical expertise and best practices, and increase access to specialized services. The Program Manager also leads and coordinates to optimize web and online presence, market services, and share patient stories. Through these efforts, the Program Manager IV enhances care coordination and reinforces the Women’s and Children’s Center as a trusted regional partner. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision-making, strong written and verbal communication skill. This position requires medium to high travel throughout Central and Northern California.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Health Systems Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8 years recent relevant experience.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of internal and external customers, including patients, physicians, payors, community partners, and leaders.
  • Knowledge and understanding of strategic planning, including group facilitation and plan development.
  • Knowledge and understanding of business plan development, including qualitative and quantitative research and analysis.
  • Knowledge and understanding of effective outreach strategies in healthcare.
  • Knowledge and ability to use healthcare data to inform decisions and collaborative planning.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, demonstrating respect for diverse backgrounds, expertise and perspectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare delivery systems, preferably in a hospital, multi-site or integrated system environment, program and project, or operations management.
  • Experience in strategic planning, program management, outreach, provider relations, or network development, including building partnerships with physicians, clinical staff, hospitals and/or hospitals.
  • Experience managing cross-functional initiatives with multiple partners and driving access initiatives.
  • Experience working in external facing roles, representing an organization and building relationships and familiarity with healthcare operations.
