About The Position

The Deal Strategy & Execution (DSE) team is a dynamic, cross-functional group that touches billions of dollars in deals annually, uniting professionals across Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Technology to drive revenue and strategic success through deal structuring, business and cloud advisory, technical escalation management, and policy/process/product optimization. At the heart of this organization is the Global Programs pillar—the strategic engine that ensures operational readiness, process excellence, and seamless alignment across the company. As the Enterprise Policy & Program Liaison, Global Programs represents sales interests in broader enterprise initiatives, provides complex deal advisory, manages knowledge assets, drives AI adoption, orchestrates Splunk+Cisco and leads cross-functional launch and impact assessments to mitigate risk when rolling out new offers, products, processes and policies. The team sits at the forefront of major Cisco integration and go-to-market efforts, translating enterprise policy into actionable guidance and enabling strategic customer transitions across Cisco's buying programs portfolio—making it a high-impact, highly visible pillar for candidates looking to shape the future of Splunk & Cisco. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree a plus.
  • 8+ years of program management experience, preferably in sales strategy, enablement, finance or operations in a complex, global environment.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Cisco/Splunk enterprise platforms (CCW, SFDC), Buying Programs (EAs, WPAs) and policies (Bookings, Sales, RevRec, Sales Credit & Comp).

Nice To Haves

  • AI fluency and experience leveraging AI tools and platforms for business insights, automation, or process optimization.
  • Deep knowledge of Cisco’s portfolio, systems and processes—especially commerce, sales, and finance.
  • Experience working with Splunk, knowledge of Oracle/SAP ERP, EDW, Tableau, Splunk CPQ etc.
  • Complex Deal Structuring & Management experience a major plus.
  • Broad cross-functional exposure (sales, product, marketing, legal, finance, operations).
  • Acquisition Integration background is a plus.
  • Experience with advanced reporting, analytics, and presentation of strategic insights to executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated expertise in process improvement, transformation, and operational excellence.
  • Proven track record leading independently as an individual contributor at a senior level.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, architect, and execute enterprise-level programs and projects, aligning Splunk’s business priorities within Cisco’s global sales landscape.
  • Influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams in strategic sales conversations, ensuring Splunk solutions are part of the broader Cisco narrative.
  • Design, optimize, and scale processes for deal strategy and global programs, driving operational excellence and measurable impact.
  • Deliver advanced reporting and data analysis using sales tools (e.g., SFDC, Tableau) and AI platforms to provide actionable, forward-looking insights.
  • Facilitate critical workshops, executive meetings, ad-hoc projects and cross-functional sessions, demonstrating extraordinary collaboration and communication skills.
  • Proactively identify strategic opportunities, resolve challenges, and drive results that exceed expectations.
  • Build and sustain high-trust relationships across Cisco and Splunk, leveraging broad cross-functional expertise.
  • Serve as a thought leader for program management best practices, process innovation, and continuous improvement.
