As a Program Manager II within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Dallas, TX, Birmingham, AL, Phoenix, AZ or Denver, CO. We are seeking a highly motivated Program Manager II to lead complex, high-impact programs within Corporate Functions Technology, with a strong focus on the Risk domain. This role will partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives that enhance risk management capabilities across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a strong risk background, experience managing large-scale programs ($5M–$15M), and proficiency in Agile methodologies and modern project management tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong program management experience, preferably within risk, compliance, or corporate functions technology
  • Proven experience delivering programs
  • Experience managing large-scale programs
  • Strong understanding of risk frameworks, controls, and regulatory environments
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Experience engaging with and presenting to senior leadership
  • Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare)
  • Bachelors
  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience.
  • Specific certifications are often required.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large, complex technology programs within the risk domain, ensuring alignment with corporate risk strategies and regulatory requirements
  • Manage program budgets, including resource planning, forecasting, and financial tracking
  • Partner with senior leadership and key stakeholders to define program objectives, success metrics, and execution roadmaps
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across technology, risk, compliance, and corporate functions teams
  • Oversee Agile program execution, including sprint planning, backlog management, and delivery tracking
  • Utilize tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Suite to manage timelines, dependencies, and reporting
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues, ensuring proactive resolution and governance
  • Support continuous improvement of program management practices within the risk technology space
  • Leads a cross functional program/project team to ensure the execution of organizational programs in support of corporate strategy.
  • Leads complex programs/projects requiring planning, oversight, and communication across multiple segments, channels, or lines of business.
  • Manages the general and detailed planning stages of organizational programs; influences project decisions to achieve overall program goals.
  • Oversight and reporting for the program budget while working to ensure success of the program.
  • Evaluates the implementation and effectiveness of the programs and recommends enhancements to programs based on results.
  • Teams with service partners to ensure seamless delivery and a consistent experience across multiple distribution channels.
