The Program Manager II is responsible for independently managing a portfolio of projects that are typically multi-departmental in nature and may be strategic in scope, including programs. This position consults with internal and external partners to clarify and define project requirements. The Program Manager focuses on tracking progress while navigating ambiguity in addition to managing information flow, conflicts, and problems to deliver successful project/program outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
3+ years of project management experience.
Proven record of success in previous projects.
Experience with Project Management software.
Excellent leadership skills.
Strong communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
Consensus building skills.
Self-motivated.
Decisive with the ability to handle ambiguity, change and competing demands.
Demonstrated respect, collaboration, and pride in ownership.
Ability to adapt to change.
Focus on delivering value.
Must already be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Develops and manages the plan surrounding project/program engagements. Managing may include but is not limited to interdependencies, dependencies, communications, scope, changes, risks, and issues.
Sets realistic and practical goals for projects/programs while developing appropriate strategies for achieving those goals.
Documents communications, risks, and issues thoroughly and professionally.
Measures project/program performance to identify areas for improvement.
Provides project/program status reporting to applicable audiences and tailors reporting to fit the audience.
Utilizes best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project/program execution.
Assists in developing workflow, processes, and procedures for the department.
Is a resource for and mentor to those new to the project management team.
