AFLCMC/Armament Directorate requires a Subject Matter Expert to assist government and University Affiliated Research Centers with the evaluation of current, planned and conceptual weapons programs. Analyst will work daily with Joint requirements owners, modeling and simulation analysts and the Intelligence community to develop operational scenarios, performance metrics and evaluation of study results.

Requirements

  • Recent operational experience as aircrew in a tactical aircraft
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Experience in system acquisition to include development, integration, and fielding of capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Warfare principles and tactics
  • Active TOP SECRET clearance. (Note: active SECRET clearance with TOP SECRET eligibility may be considered for otherwise well-qualified candidates)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to be commensurate with technical and event facilitator roles.
  • Complete familiarity with Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word, etc).

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree is desired, however relevant experience may be used in lieu of graduate degree(s).
  • Weapon School Graduate, Squadron Tactics Instructor, or Pentagon/COCOM experience.
  • Developmental / Operational Test experience is also valuable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide warfighter input to complex operational scenarios.
  • Develop evaluation metrics for Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) processes
  • Develop technical baselines and warfighter concept of operations for both existing, planned and conceptual weapons
  • Work with industry and government S&T community to characterize potential weapons in the context of operations scenarios
  • Develop briefing materials to inform stakeholders on operational directives, priorities and outcomes to inform future capability planning and acquisition
  • Advise the government lead on operational strategies to inform weapons technology planning
  • Network with government & industry in order to foster an effective relationship and appreciation of weapons future resources, needs, and challenges
  • Apply program management principles to guide resources, such as funding, through the various phases of the acquisition cycle
